Calling all mud lovers... these events are for you!

The Manchester Area Cross Country League (MACCL) is a great way to keep (or find!) your running fitness over the winter. It is also a great way to meet fellow Club members.

There was a brilliant turnout from our Club last year - 121 people entered! - and we hope to have an even bigger turnout this year. 

The emphasis for these events is on having fun (eating cake afterwards) - all standards, abilities and ages all welcome!

How do I enter?

Step 1. To enter the XC League you will first need to complete the England Athletics (EA) Affiliation if you haven't already done so.  This is essential if you want to race!

Step 2. Once your EA affiliation has been completed, just come back to this page and complete your XC entry.  We will remind members by Facebook of the final details prior to each race.

The rest is easy,,, go and get muddy!

Dates & Venues for 2018/19 Season

Match 1: Saturday 13th October 2018 (not for under 11s), Wythenshawe Park, Manchester.

Match 2: Saturday 10th November, University Playing Fields/Kenworthy Woods, Wythenshawe.

Match 3: Saturday 1st December 2018, Woodbank Park, Stockport.

Match 4: Saturday 12th January 2019, Heaton Park, Manchester.

Match 5: Saturday 9th February 2019, University Playing Fields/Kenworthy Woods, Wythenshawe.


Start Times

12 noon U11 Girls & U11 Boys - 2,400 metres [*U11’s do not compete in Match One]

12:15 pm U13 Girls & U13 Boys - 3,500 metres

12.30 pm U15 Girls & U15 Boys - 5,000 metres

12:50 pm U17 Girls & U17 Boys - 6,500 metres

1:30 pm Senior, U20 & Vet Ladies - 8,000 metres (max=10,000)

2:30 pm Senior, U20 & Vet Men - 9,600 metres (max=10,000)
